How We Secure Racing & Carbon Bikes Safely

We use the same method used by pro team support vans and specialist race couriers.

1) Front Wheel in a Chock — Locator Only

• The chock is used to position the bike upright
• No clamping, no pressure, no compression

It’s simply a steadying cradle to start.

2) Primary Support Comes From the Wheels

• Tyres sit on anti-slip mats
• Cam buckle straps (never ratchets) go over each wheel to low wall/floor anchors
• The tyres compress slightly, creating stable downward hold

This keeps the bike planted without touching the frame.

3) Light Stabilisation to Prevent Sway

To stop side-to-side movement:

• A soft loop goes around the saddle rails (the metal bars under the seat) → gently attached to the opposite side anchors

4) No Pressure on Carbon

• No frame straps
• No post straps
• No clamp blocks
• No fork compression
